The State of Marketing Jobs — 2023 Edition
After two decades in the marketing field, I faced an unexpected layoff – a first for me. In the current landscape of summer 2023, marketing positions are being downsized.
An assessment by TrustInsights.ai, drawing on data from 2020 to 2023, has indicated a recession in marketing job opportunities. Consequently, there’s an influx of marketers like myself searching for their next career step, but the job market is fiercely competitive.
What I find disheartening is the absence of meaningful discourse concerning our current predicament. The lack of guidance, support, empathy, tips, or even straightforward information is truly bewildering.
